The 4th Symphony and the Epic of Gilgamesh“: The Bohuslav Martinů Complete Edition begins with these two volumes. The aim of the edition is to make the Czech composer’s works, which are scattered throughout the world, available in exemplary editions.

Matthias Pintscher conducts the premiere on 8 May as part of “musica viva“. – South Pole (libretto: Tom Holloway), Miroslav Srnka’s major opera project about the conquest of the South Pole, will be premiered at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich on 31 January 2016, with a top-class line-up including Rolando Villazón and Thomas Hampson. (1.10.2014) La Mer, composed between 1903 and 1905 has been revised and refined several times by Claude Debussy up until at least 1913. These corrections are found in a score which Debussy gave to his wife as a present for her private library in 1913. The new scholarly-critical edition draws on several important sources previously unavailable to musicologists, resulting in an array of new readings and corrections.
